भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप में कितने देश हैं
इस उपमहाद्वीप में आमतौर पर भारत, पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश सम्मिलित किए जाते हैं, और नेपाल, भूटान और श्रीलंका को भी प्रायः सम्मिलित किया जाता है और कभी-कभी अफ़्गानिस्तान और मालदीव भी सम्मिलित किए जाते हैं। इस क्षेत्र में अक्साई चिन का विवादित क्षेत्र भी है जो ब्रिटिश राज के रियासती राज्य जम्मू और कश्मीर का भाग था, पर वर्तमान में चीन के शिंग्जियांग स्वायत्तशासी प्रांत का एक भाग है। जब कभी भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप का उपयोग दक्षिण एशिया के संदर्भ में किया जाता है तो इसमें कभी-कभी श्रीलंका और मालदीव को सम्मिलित नहीं किया जाता, जबकि नेपाल और तिब्बत को प्रकरणानुसार इसमें सम्मिलित किया या नहीं किया जाता।
