मनुष्य की खोपड़ी (Skull) में कुल अस्थियों (Bones) की संख्या 28 होती है जिनमें से 8 मस्तिष्क के चारों ओर का मस्तिष्क खोल (Brain case) अर्थात कपाल (Cranium) बनाती हैं। शेष हड्डियों में से 14 हड्डियां हमारे चेहरे का कंकाल बनाती हैं तथा शेष 6 मध्य कर्णों में कर्ण अस्थियां (Ear bones) होती हैं जो कि सुनने में सहायक होती हैं।

मानव खोपड़ी में हड्डियों की कुल संख्या 28 होती है, जिसमें से आठ मस्तिष्क के चारों ओर मस्तिष्क का मामला बनाते हैं, यानी कपाल। बची हुई हड्डियों में से 14 हड्डियाँ हमारे चेहरे का कंकाल बनाती हैं और शेष 6 मध्य कर्ण में कान की हड्डियाँ होती हैं जो सुनने में सहायक होती हैं।
