Scheme of Examination for R.A.S./R.T.S. (Mains) Examination - 2013 

There will be 04 papers in RAS (Mains) 2013. Syllabus for RAS (Mains) 2013 has already been published. The brief details of syllabi for 04 papers are as under :
1 General Studies – I
2 General Studies – II
3 General Studies – III
4 General Hindi and General English - IV

First three papers shall contain questions of following 03 types –
1 Brief (Answer word limit 15)
2 Medium (Answer word limit 50)
3 Long & Descriptive (Answer word limit 200)

Paper wise scheme of Exam shall be as under :-

Paper – I (General Knowledge and General Studies-I) 200 Marks
1 20 Very Short answer questions (Answer word limit 15) Each question of 2 marks. (20 x 2 = 40) 40 Marks
2 16 Short answer questions (Answer word limit 50) Each question of 5 marks. (16 x 5 = 80) 80 Marks
3 4 Long/Descriptive questions (Answer word limit 200) Each question of 20 marks. (4 x 20 = 80) 80 Marks (There will be a choice in long/descriptive questions)

Paper – II (General Knowledge and General Studies-II) 200 Marks
1. 20 Very Short answer questions (Answer word limit 15) Each question of 2 marks. (20 x 2 = 40) 40 Marks
2. 16 Short answer questions (Answer word limit 50) Each question of 5 marks. (16 x 5 = 80) 80 Marks
3. 4 Long/Descriptive questions (Answer word limit 200) Each question of 20 marks. (4 x 20 = 80) 80 Marks (There will be a choice in long/descriptive questions)

Paper – III (General Knowledge and General Studies-III) 200 Marks
1. 20 Very Short answer questions (Answer word limit 15) Each question of 2 marks. (20 x 2 = 40) 40 Marks
2. 20 Short answer questions (Answer word limit 50) Each question of 5 marks. (20 x 5 = 100) 100 Marks
3. 3 Long/Descriptive questions (Answer word limit 200) Each question of 20 marks. (3 x 20 = 60) 60 Marks

Paper – IV (General Hindi & General English) 200 Marks
