इसकी स्थापना किसने की यह स्पष्ट नहीं है लेकिन इसकी स्थापना 600 और 500 ईसा पूर्व के बीच हुई थी। यह महाविद्यालय मौर्य काल से प्रसिद्ध हुआ। चाणक्य भी इसी स्कूल के छात्र थे और वे इसमें शिक्षक भी बने थे। कहा जाता है कि जब वे इस कॉलेज में शिक्षक थे तब उन्होंने अर्थशास्त्र लिखा था। उस कॉलेज में चंद्रगुप्त मौर्य और चरक की भी पढ़ाई हुई थी।

Who established it is not clear but it was established between 600 And 500BC .this college became famous from mauraya period . Chanakya was also a student of this school and he also became teacher in it. It is said that he wrote ARTHSASTRA when he was a teacher in this college.Chandra gupt maurya and charak were also studied in that college
