"ह्वांगहो" नदी चीन की सबसे विशाल एवं महत्वपूर्ण नदी है जो उत्तरी चीन में बहती है। इस नदी की लम्बाई 4815 किलो मीटर है। इस नदी का बेसिन चीन की कुल भूमि के लगभग80℅ भाग पर अथवा 7 लाख 71 हजार वर्ग किलोमीटर भूमि पर फैला हुआ है। इस नदी द्वारा की जाने वाली भयंकर बर्बादी के कारण ह्वांगहो नदी को"चीन का शोक"(chinees sorrow) कहा जाता है।
