सेठ अमरचंद बांठिया भारत की स्वतंत्रता के प्रथम संग्राम के एक नायक थे। इनको "राजस्थान का मंगल पांडे" भी कहा जाता है, जब 1858 की भीषण गर्मी में लू के थपेड़ों के बीच, झांसी की वीरांगना रानी लक्ष्मीबाई तथा उनके योग्य सेना नायक राव साहब और तात्या टोपे आदि सब, अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ युद्ध करने के लिए ग्वालियर के मैदान-ए-जंग में आ डटे थे। अमरचंद बांठिया जैन को 22 जून 1858 को सराफा बाजार ग्वालियर में नीम के पेड़ पर लटका कर फांसी दे दी गई थी।
