जिला स्तर पर जिला अधिकारी होते हैं, पुलिस आयुक्त संभाग में होते हैं न कि जिले में, उस स्थिति में पुलिस आयुक्त होंगे क्योंकि वे संभागीय अधिकारी होते हैं न कि जिला स्तर पर।
हमें उम्मीद है कि अब आप लोग समझ गए होंगे कि जिले में पुलिस का सबसे बड़ा अफसर कौन होता है और उसे किन अन्य पदनामों से पुकारा या पहचाना जाता है।

जिला स्तर पर जिला पदाधिकारी होते है ,पुलिस कमिश्नर प्रमंडल में होते है जिला में नही वैसी स्थिति में पुलिस कमिश्नर होंगे क्योंकि वे प्रण्डलिये पदाधिकारी होते है ना कि जिला स्तरीय
