विधुत बल्ब क्या है
तापदीप्त लैम्प या इन्कैंडिसेंट लैम्प (incandescent lamp) को बोलचाल में बल्ब कहते हैं। यह के द्वारा प्रकाश उत्पन्न करता है। गरम होने के कारण प्रकाश का उत्सर्जन, तापदीप्ति (incandescence) कहलाता है। इसमें एक पतला फिलामेन्ट (तार) होता है जिससे होकर जब धाराबहती है तब यह गरम होकर प्रकाश देने लगता है। फिलामेन्ट को काँच के बल्ब के अन्दर इसलिये रखा जाता है ताकि अति तप्त फिलामेन्ट तक वायुमण्डलीय आक्सीजन न पहुँच पाये और इस तरह क्रिया करके फिलामेन्ट को कमजोर न कर सके।
