महात्मा गांधी की आत्मकथा का सारांश ये है की हमे हमेशा सत्य की राह पर चलना चाहिए। अगर कहीं पर कुछ गलत हो रहा है तो उसका विरोध करना चाहिए क्योंकि अगर हम उस पर चुप बैठेंगे ये सोचकर की हमारा क्या लेना देना है तो आगे चलकर वो ही गलत काम हमारे साथ हो सकता है।
महात्मा गांधी हमेशा अहिंसा पर विश्वास करते थे इसलिए हमे जीवों पर किसी भी प्रकार का अत्याचार नही करना चाहिए उनको अगर हम प्यार से रखेंगे तो वो भी हमारे साथ प्यार से ही व्यवहार करेंगे।
इन सबके अलावा हमे अन्य लड़ाकू हथियार छोड़कर शिक्षा को अपना हथियार समझना चाहिए क्योंकि हम अगर शिक्षित होंगे तो आने वाली पीढ़ियों को सब कुछ समझने की प्रवति होगी।
