रात्रि का तीसरा पहर
आठ प्रहर के नाम :
दिन के चार प्रहर- 1.पूर्वान्ह, 2.मध्यान्ह, 3.अपरान्ह और 4.सायंकाल।
रात के चार प्रहर- 5.प्रदोष, 6.निशिथ, 7.त्रियामा एवं 8.उषा।
रात का तीसरा प्रहर
रात के तीसरे प्रहर को त्रियामा कहते हैं जो बजे से रात के बजे के बीच का होता है। इस मध्यरात्रि भी कहते हैं। यह समय शुद्ध रूप से तामिसक माना गया है। यह समय पूर्ण विश्राम का ही होता है। इस प्रहर में भोजन, स्नान या ध्यान करना वर्जित है। ऐसा करने से भारी नुकसान उठाना होता है। इस प्रहर में प्रार्थना करने से वह तुरंत फलदायी होती है।
