तमिलनाडु की जलवायु कैसी है
- तमिलनाडु राज्य की जलवायु मूलत: उष्णकटिबंधीय है।
- ग्रीष्मकाल में तापमान यदा-कदा ही 43° से. से ऊपर और शीत ऋतु में 18-24° से. से नीचे जाता है।
- दिसंबर और जनवरी में न्यूनतम तथा अप्रैल और जून में अधिकतम तापमान रिकॉर्ड किया जाता है।
- औसत वार्षिक वर्षा दक्षिण-पश्चिमी और पूर्वोत्तर मॉनसून पर निर्भर है तथा यह मुख्यतः अक्टूबर से दिसंबर के बीच और प्रतिवर्ष 635 मिमी से 1,905 मिमी के बीच होती है।
- अधिकांश वर्षा नीलगिरि व अन्य पर्वतीय क्षेत्रों में और सबसे कम रामनाथपुरम तथा तिरूनेल्वली ज़िलों में होती है।
