Eligibility Post Name Wise-
For English Teacher-
M.A English with 50% marks in Graduation with B.Ed. and teaching of English as compulsory subject in B.Ed. (B.A B.Ed./B.Com. B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. will be eligible), The applicant must have passed Graduation (including B.Ed.) with minimum of 50% marks AND 55% marks in English at Graduation level.SC/ST/OBC candidates should have at least 45% marks in Graduation (and 45% marks in B.Ed) AND 50% marks in English at Graduation level.
For Mathematics Teacher-
M.A/M.Sc. Mathematics with 50% marks in Graduation with B.Ed and teaching of Mathematics as compulsory subject in B.Ed. (B.A-B.Ed B.Com-B.Ed B.Sc-B.Ed will be eligible), a The applicant must have passed Graduation (including B.Ed.) with minimum of 50% marks AND 55% marks in Mathematics subject at Graduation level. SC/ST/OBC candidates should have at least 45% marks in Graduation (and 45% marks in B.Ed) AND 50% marks in Mathematics at Graduation level.

HPRCA Teacher Recruitment 2026 Selection Process-
In the Selection Process for Himachal Pradesh Teacher Recruitment will be completed on the following phases:
1. Computer Based Test-
In this test you can find objective-type with 120 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each), lasting 1½ hours. It covers subject knowledge up to essential qualifications, plus General Knowledge (HP-specific, current affairs), Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English, and Hindi (Matric level).
2. Shortlisting-
HPRCA prepares a merit list based solely on CBT scores (normalized if needed). Only shortlisted candidates advance.
3. DV & Appointment-
Shortlisted candidates must present original certificates to verify eligibility, qualifications, age, reservations, and other claims. HPRCA releases the final merit list for appointment to the 624 posts, following reservation rules.
