HSSC Steno Vacancy Selection Process-

In the Selection Process for Stenographer Jobs In Haryana will be completed on the following phases:

1. Shortlisting-

Candidates are initially shortlisted based on their Haryana CET Group C score (pre-qualification required for application). This filters eligible applicants before further tests; socio-economic criteria and experience may also factor in merit.

2. Skill Test-

Conducted first as Stage-I: shorthand dictation at post-specific speeds (e.g., 80-150 WPM), followed by computer transcription in specified fonts (Kruti Dev for Hindi, Arial for English). Must achieve within error limits (e.g., max 4-8%) to qualify; it"s mandatory to pass for advancing.

3. Written Exam-

This is an offline OMR-based test with 100 questions in 105 minutes, covering General Awareness (20%), Computer Skills (10%), and subject-related topics (70%). Qualifying marks: 50% for General, 40% for reserved; no negative marking.

4. DV & Medical-

Shortlisted candidates verify original documents like educational certificates, caste proofs, CET scorecard, and ID. And after final health check to confirm fitness for duty. Please note final merit list combines CET Mains marks, skill test qualification, and socio-economic weightage.
