According to notification of this recruitment selected candidates receive salary via Pay Matrix Level 7. There are basic pay ranges from Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month, plus applicable Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other allowances as per Bihar government norms.

Selection Process Details-
In the Selection Process for BSSC Stenographer Vacancy 2026 will be completed on the following phases:
1. Written Examination-
This is an objective-type test carries 200 marks (bssc stenographer exam pattern) with 100 questions (2 hours duration): 50 on General Studies (history, geography, polity, economy, current affairs) and 50 on General Science & Mathematics (up to Class 10 level). In this test negative marking applies (1/3rd marks per wrong answer).
2. Skill Test-
Qualifying in nature, it assesses stenography (Hindi/English dictation at prescribed speeds) and computer typing proficiency. Candidates must meet speed and accuracy standards please note there are no marks added to merit list.
3. DV-
Shortlisted candidates verify originals (educational certificates, ID proof, caste/reservation claims, stenography qualifications).
