Assam Rifles Recruitment 2026 Selection Process-

In the Selection Process for Assam Rifles New Vacancy 2026 will be completed on the following phases:

1. DV-

Candidates undergo initial verification of call letters, biometric/ID proof (Voter ID, Aadhaar, Driving License), and all original documents/certificates for age, education, sports achievements, caste, and domicile. ​

2. Physical Standard Test (PST)-

RFID-based automated PST measures height, chest (males only), and weight as per standards. Males: Height 170 cm (relaxable), Chest 80-85 cm; Females: Height 157 cm (relaxable), no chest. Provisional if documents support relaxations. ​

3. Motor Ability Test (MAT) & Field Trial-

MAT assesses basic fitness (running, jumps); qualified candidates proceed to sports-specific Field Trial, where marks are awarded based on performance and achievements. Top performers advance. ​

4. Medical Examination & Selection-

Detailed Medical Exam (DME) checks visual acuity and overall fitness. Unfit candidates can opt for Review Medical Exam (RME) with consent. Final merit list ranks based on sports level, Field Trial performance, and vacancies. ​
