Station Officer: UGC/AICTE recognized University"s Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Automobile/Mechanical Engineering/Civil/Town/Hydraulic Engineering/Fire/Risk/Safety/Fire Management/Diploma in relevant field.

Sub Officer (Fire): UGC/AICTE recognized University"s Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Automobile/Mechanical Engineering/Civil/Town/Hydraulic Engineering/Fire/Risk/Safety/Fire Management/Diploma in relevant field.

RMC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process-

In the Selection Process for Rajkot Municipal Corporation Recruitment 2026 will be completed on the following phases:

1. Written / Technical Examination-

All eligible candidates first appear for an objective type written or technical examination, depending on the post (Fire Operator, Sub Officer, Station Officer, etc.).​ Shortlisting for the next stages is based on marks obtained in this exam.​

2. Physical Standards Test (PST)-

Candidates who qualify the written test must undergo a Physical Standards Test, where height, chest (for male), weight and eyesight are checked as per fire service norms.

3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)-

Candidates clearing PST face a Physical Efficiency Test that may include running and other physical tasks to assess stamina and fitness; some posts may also have a fire/rescue related practical test.

4. Interview (for Officer Level Posts)-

For officer posts like Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Divisional Officer, Station Officer and Sub Officer, an Interview may be conducted after the written/technical test.​

5. DV-

Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates for educational qualification, experience, category, domicile, driving licence (if required), etc. for verification.​

6. Medical Examination-

Finally, candidates undergo a medical examination as per RMC norms. Only medically fit candidates are included in the final selection and appointment list.​
