According to notification BPSC AEDO salary follows Pay Level 5 of the Bihar state pay matrix under the 7th Pay Commission, with a starting basic pay of ₹29,200 per month.​

BPSC AEDO Selection Process-

In the Selection Process for Bihar BPSC AEDO Recruitment 2025 will be completed on the following phases:

1. Written Examination-

The offline objective-type exam includes three papers, Here is the BPSC AEDO Syllabus details:

A. General Language: Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, sentence correction, and appropriate language usage in both English and Hindi.

B. General Studies: National and international current affairs, Indian and Bihar history (with freedom movement emphasis), geography of India and Bihar (physical, economic, major rivers), Indian polity and constitution, post-independence economy, Bihar"s role in national movement, general science, technology, and environmental issues.​

C. General Aptitude: Number systems, simplification, decimals/fractions, percentages, ratio/proportion, averages, profit/loss, simple/compound interest, mensuration (2D/3D), time/work/distance, age problems, pipes/cisterns, logical/non-verbal reasoning, data interpretation, basic statistics, and coding-decoding/series/classification.​

Each paper has 100 multiple-choice questions worth 100 marks, lasts 2 hours, awards 1 mark per correct answer, and deducts 1/3 mark for wrong answers. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for UR, 36.5% for BC, 34% for EBC, and 32% for SC/ST, women, and PwBD candidates.​

2. DV-

Candidates qualifying the written exam undergo verification of original documents like educational certificates, ID proof, caste/category certificates, domicile, and disability certificates (if applicable), including via DigiLocker.​

3. Final Merit List-

The final merit list bases on written exam marks (General Studies and General Aptitude count for ranking; General Language is qualifying only). Ties resolve by higher General Studies marks, then age (older preferred), then alphabetical order in Devanagari script; no re-evaluation allowed.
