Phase 1 (Preliminary Exam)-
In these both papers negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Paper 1-

‣ Total Marks: 100 marks.
‣ Time: 60 minutes.
‣ Subject: General Awareness (including financial sector), English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
Paper 2-
‣ Multiple-choice questions.
‣ Total Marks: 100 marks.
‣ Time: 40 minutes.
‣ Subject: Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act, Economics for General stream; specialized subjects for Legal, IT, Official Language, and Research streams.
Phase 2 (Mains Exam)-
Please note negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answers in Paper 2.
Paper 1-
‣ English descriptive paper.
‣ Total Marks: 100 marks.
‣ Time: 60 minutes.
‣ Subject: testing drafting skills (essay, precis, reading comprehension).
Paper 2-
‣ Multiple-choice questions.

‣ Time: 90 minutes.
‣ Subject: focused on stream-specific advanced subjects.
The final merit list is based on marks in Phase 2 and the Interview. The exam pattern ensures assessment of both general aptitude and domain knowledge relevant to the chosen stream.
